Cabinet Project Design ldeas

This whole house project is located in Shenzhen, China. Allure has provided a series of cabinets at the client’s great demand for storage and display. We maximize all the available walls and provide modern cabinets that are up to the ceiling.

Matte lacquer and glass are the main finishes for the cabinets. Soft white and dark grey-green show a balanced two-toned space. For glass cabinets, we have two schemes: dark wood interior with transparent glass door with black metallic frame, and white-lacquered interior with colored glass.

Two-Tone Storage Cabinets for Display and Concealment

Combining closed cabinet doors with glass-fronted display zones can make storage feel more ordered without concealing every object. In this project, soft white and dark grey-green finishes separate visual layers, while glass doors provide a lighter transition between display and concealed storage. For more wardrobe and dressing-room options, see custom walk-in closet systems.

Curved edge adds safety and more softness to the cabinet compared to an angular edge.

Storage Planning Across Kitchen and Dressing Areas

A whole-house cabinet plan works best when each room is assigned a clear storage role before drawings are approved. Kitchen work zones, visible display sections, wardrobe hanging space, drawers and less-frequently used upper storage can then be coordinated as one system. For practical dressing-room layout guidance, read galley walk-in closet ideas.

This gallery space is utilized for a walk-in closet. We paired a fitted wardrobe unit for both visible and hidden clothing collection.

The walk-in closet also features a glass sliding door used for the side cabinet and the entrance. It is more decorative while providing a visible partition compared to a solid wood door.

Material and Layout Reference

Before cabinet production, project teams should confirm finished wall dimensions, door and drawer clearances, appliance specifications, glass type, hardware, lighting locations, and the distinction between display storage and everyday concealed storage. For general architectural woodwork terminology and material-planning reference, consult the Architectural Woodwork Institute casework reference. Frequently Asked Questions

What are two-tone storage cabinets?

Two-tone storage cabinets combine two coordinated finishes, such as soft white and dark grey-green, to create visual contrast while keeping cabinetry connected across different rooms.

Why use glass doors with closed storage cabinets?

Glass doors help keep selected objects visible and add depth to a cabinet wall, while closed storage can conceal bulkier items and support a tidier overall appearance.

How does a U-shaped kitchen improve workflow?

A U-shaped kitchen uses three connected cabinet runs to keep preparation, cooking and cleaning zones within a continuous working area. Corner cabinet details should be planned around actual countertop and circulation needs.

How can a gallery space become a walk-in closet?

A gallery space can support a walk-in closet when fitted wardrobes, sliding doors and a clear central passage are planned around clothing storage, access and everyday movement.

What should be confirmed before custom cabinet production?

Confirm site measurements, finished floor and wall levels, door openings, appliance dimensions, glass and hardware selections, lighting points, storage inventory, drawings and installation access.
